Terry-Thomas was born Thomas Terry Hoar Stevens at 53 Lichfield Grove, Finchley. This is a movie that is a dear to the French as The Great Escape is to the British with so many British actors in it should have been more well known to Brit's, too. I have to say my youngest is already at a reading age of eight, so he won't be a good baseline for many of his age, but for what it's worth he say through the entire movie in French, reading the subtitles and having a great time.
My four (actually three and three quarter) and nine year olds sat through the whole movie after spending a couple of weeks in France absorbing the language.
